Welcome to the Plymouth Coal Kickers! Our youth soccer program serves kids ages 2-19 in Plymouth, PA, and the surrounding community. Whether your child is just starting out or has years of experience, we offer a welcoming and supportive environment for all skill levels.
Program Overview
- Ages: 2-19
- Skill Levels: Beginners to Advanced. No prior soccer experience is necessary.
- Training & Practice Schedule: Practice and game schedules vary by team; practices are held on weekdays in the evenings, games are played on the weekends.
- Location:
- Practices and home games: Plymouth Community Park – 1 Rowe Ln.
- Away games (8U and up only): Local teams’ fields throughout the greater Wyoming Valley area
- Competition: We are a recreational club. While we do play competitively, our focus is on creating a fun and enjoyable soccer experience for all our players. Please note that the 4U and 6U teams are developmental and do not compete against other area teams. These younger age groups focus on skill-building, fun, and teamwork through friendly, internal scrimmages and practices.

Registration Information
- Registration Dates: Registration for the Spring 2026 season is now open. Click here to register!
- You can sign up online at any time while registration is open
- In-person registrations will be held throughout the year.
- The registration deadline will be announced as the start of the season approaches.
- Registration Fee:
- 4u and 6u: $25 per child
- 8u and older: $65 for the first player, $55 for the second player, and $45 for each additional player.
- Jerseys are $15 each. For the Spring 2026 season, all new and returning players will receive a new jersey as we’re updating our jersey design.
- What’s Included: The registration fee covers all in-season practices and games, as well as a number of other fun activities throughout the season.
- What’s not included: Parents will need to provide the equipment listed below. Please label your child’s equipment!

- Size 3 for U4-U8, Size 4 for U10 and U12, Size 5 for U14+
- We have some balls available for use at practices, but it’s recommended that each player have their own

- Payment Options: We accept all major credit/debit cards for online registration. Cash/check is accepted only at in-person signup events.

Safety & Policies
- Player Safety: The health and safety of our players is our top priority. All coaches receive safety training, and we ensure all equipment is safe for use. Background checks and clearances are kept on file for all coaches, board members, and other volunteers as required by law.
- Code of Conduct: All players, parents, and coaches are expected to follow our code of conduct, which promotes respect, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Please see our parent code of conduct page for more details.
- Weather Policies: In the event any event is cancelled or rescheduled due to weather, we will communicate any changes with parents via the Band app.
FAQs
- What do I need for my child to play?
- Players will need soccer cleats, shin guards, a filled water bottle, and appropriate clothing for practices and games. A team jersey can be ordered when registering.
- Do I need to live in Plymouth to play?
- There are no residency requirements – we welcome all players regardless of where you live.
- Are there try-outs? Should my child be worried if they don’t have soccer experience?
- Our teams are open to all kids who want to play, whether they’re brand-new to the sport or have been playing for years. As a recreational/educational team, our coaches are here to help players learn and succeed!
- How are teams formed?
- Teams are formed based on age groups and skill level. We do our best to balance teams for fair competition.
- Do parents need to be involved?
- We encourage parental involvement, whether it’s through volunteering, cheering on players, or assisting with team events.
- What’s the time commitment?
- Practices typically occur on weekday evenings, with games on the weekends. The season lasts approximately 10 weeks.
